Vintage fishing reels can be found in a lot of different sizes, colors, shapes, and models depending on when they were made. There are many quality handmade fishing reels that usually have better quality then those that were manufactured vintage fishing reels. I usually think of vintage fishing reels starting around the 1900’s which had a rapid development in the reel.
If you like to collect vintage fishing reels, online is the place to shop. You can't just go into a tackle store to buy vintage fishing reels. You may be able to find some at flea markets, estate sales or garage sales but the best selection is online.
